I downloaded the font Coca Cola II to use in a logo. What are the copyright laws? Am I safe in using this font?

You have to read all the details about the font. Most likely in the README file. This font is copyrighted and its use in business applications is forbidden. Yes, you might be breaking laws for using it on your products. In these cases, you can use the font for personal use, but if you plan to go commercial, then Coca Cola company needs to be contacted. I don't think they'll allow it. I would recommend using something that is released under a different license like Free/GNU/Personal, etc.
